Monterey County Cattlemen’s Association

WELCOME

Thank you for taking the time to visit Monterey County Cattlemen's Association.

MCCA, founded in 1935 in the midst of a drought and depression, remains a primary source of information regarding changing political and business times for local cattlemen, property owners and people interested in sustaining rangeland and cattle operations.

Change is occurring locally, nationally and globally on a seemingly daily basis.  It is important to us that our MCCA members, as well as the public, remain informed of news, trends and changes affecting the industry.

We ask that you support our organization by becoming a member by simply printing, filling out and submitting the page found on under "Join Us" link on the left.

Our Board of Directors meet regularly to discuss:

  • Current Issues on:
    • Air Quality
    • Water Quality
    • Food Safety
    • Animal Health
    • Proper Treatment of Animals
    • Williamson Act Updates
    • General Plan and Land Use
    • Local Ordinances and State/Federal Legislation
  • Scholarships for schools
  • Annual Fall Roping

  • Local Donations for charitable purposes related to agriculture
Information about these issues and more is then distributed in the form of a newsletter, which we will soon start posting here.
